We got it! Łukasiewicz – INS awarded Horizon Europe for the first time!
After years of attempts made and numerous applications submitted, we got it! Łukasiewicz – INS will be implementing the innovative project financed with European Funds Horizon Europe under Circular Bio-Based Europe. The project with acronym ROBOCOOP (circular bioecOnomy Business mOdels owned by agroCOOPeratives), which will be implemented by the Consortium composed of 22 European institutions from 8 countries, includes break-through solutions for agricultural sector. The project involves implementation of valorisation of waste from grapes, olives and stone fruits for diversification of activities of small and medium agricultural cooperatives and farms. The scope of project covers development of industrial zero-waste biorefinery for wide variety of feedstocks (based on existing processes of bio compounds extraction and valorisation of waste) and development of new products. Within Living Labs, partners and interested persons will be searching for optimal and joint intersectoral solutions for valorisation and management of post-production waste.
Cluster of Polish Basalt Technologies
Łukasiewicz – New Chemical Syntheses Institute with the Institute of Organization & Management in Industry “ORGMASZ” founded the Cluster of Polish Basalt Technologies. On the 3rd of November 2022 in the Łukasiewicz Centre in Warsaw, the official signing of the Letter of Intent by 28 entities who joined the initiative took place. The objective of the Cluster is to transfer knowledge in the scope of implementation of new solutions in basalt technologies sector and composites as well as their implementation in the economy.

The Article about projects implemented in Łukasiewicz – New Chemical Syntheses Institute under Eureka programme financed by the National Centre for research and Development was published in the newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
The 46th Scientific and Technical Seminar Chemistry for Agriculture
On 20-23.11. 2022, the 46th Scientific and Technical Seminar Chemistry for Agriculture was held in Karpacz. The scientific mentor and originator of the Seminar is prof. Henryk Górecki from Wrocław University of Technology. Employees of our Institute have been actively participating in the event for many years and the Institute holds the material patronage over the Seminar. During discussion sessions, participants discussed the current energy and raw material crisis which has the negative effect on fertilizer sector and agriculture, as well prospects for fertilizers and fertilization. Many representatives of chemistry , environmental biology, technology and biotechnology from universities, technical universities and research institutions as well as representatives of companies and chemical plants participated in the event.
EIT FOOD PROJECT completed with the involvement of ŁUKASIEWICZ – INS representatives
Eight intensive training sessions, workshops on commercialization methods for services based on research infrastructure and task in team work aiming at increasing competences of the Institute’s employees in the scope of identification of offer’s differentiator and the method of promoting the offer include only some of aspects of Łukasiewicz – INS participation in the completed international programme EIT Food RIS Research Infrastructure Network.
